AGM

  1. Persons Present (due to Covid restrictions invitation extended only to existing committee members and any persons considering joining the committee)

     

    GR - Gary Ridgway

    JD - Jackie Dixon

    MR - Mel Randall

    TM - Tessa Morris

    CG – Carl Gibson

    TH - Tressa Hughes

     

  2. Apologies

     

    SMa - Shannon Mason

     

  3. GR provided written report to meeting. This AGM was due on 1/6/20 but has been delayed due to Covid 19.

     

  4. Treasurer provided summary of accounts up to 1/6/20. An audit by an independent person is underway and will be submitted to the committee in due course.

 

It is possible that the Salvation Army have miscalculated the amount due to the committee and JD is looking into this.

 

  1. All committee members stepped down from their posts.

 

  1. MR proposed as chair and all supported - agreed. MR chaired the rest of the meeting.

 

  1. JD proposed as treasurer and all supported – agreed.

 

  1. GR proposed as secretary and all supported – agreed.

 

  1. TM, CG, TH, SMa and SM all selected as committee members.

 

  1. Chair invites questions, comments, and observations from all parties plus any submitted to the chair for discussion.

 

Action: GR to update conservation policy

Action: GR to update charity commission on new committee.

Action: CG will look at costings for internal masonry paint (Magnolia)

 

The committee wanted to acknowledge:

Mark Conway for proving toilet bowl etc.

Carl Gibson for proving the material to install the BBQ area outside

Pat and Jed for all their support running the weekly raffle.

 

Action: GR to approach Neil to discuss options for Remembrance Sunday.

Action: MR and JD to obtain new sign for the remembrance memorial and put on fb.

 

  1. AOB (Halloween event planning)

     

    Although all agreed it was not possible to hold an event, we will have a table at the front of the hall staffed between 5pm and 7pm on Halloween to give sweets to any children who want to visit the park. We will also decorate the park and hold a pumpkin competition.

     

    Action: TM to purchase sweets for approximately 25 children.

    Action: MR will produce flyer.

    Action: TH will deliver to all households with children.

    Action: TM and JD to provide decorations plus any more that other committee members may have.

    All available committee members to meet at 10 am Saturday 31st October to put up decorations.
