 ANNUAL PARISH MEETING 2023

Held 7.30p.m., 18th May, 2023 at Dowsby Village Hall.

  1. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT (Cllr L. Rodford):

 

Development proposal for Spinney Farm – No further information from Savills

Thanks to Village Hall committee for organising several successful events and activities including bingo and the coronation celebration.

Local elections have taken place.

 

  1. STATEMENT OF ACCOUNTS 31st MARCH, 2023.
  1. Summary of Payments & Receipts, year ended 31st March 2023 was made available to the meeting. Funds carried forward 1st April, 2023 £4,313. A copy of the accounts summary is attached to these minutes.  There were no questions on the accounts.
    1. The accounts have been reviewed by Mrs. Michelle Free and her report from 11th May 2023 has been received. Although the numbers are correct, there were several procedural issues that should be addressed. Mrs. Free completed the AGAR on 11th May 2023.

 

  1. APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING

Minutes of Annual Meeting, held 26th May, 2013, having been previously

circulated and published, were approved and signed.

  1. RECEIVE REPORT FROM DOWSBY VILLAGE HALL & PLAYGROUND ASSOCIATION. (DVHA). –  Chairman: Mel Randall

Speaking on behalf of Mel, Jackie Dixon informed the meeting:

 

Thanks offered to the Parish Council for the donation towards the coronation celebration where there was a very popular magician, games and a BBQ.

The temporary doors are to be upgraded in line with the original requirement of 25/75 split for access and use of original door furniture, by Adam resident and carpenter opposite the Village Hall. To be completed in July.
